Jan Durbin began volunteering for Coldwater in 2010 when the No Hungry Kids Program was created.  She leads a team that provides weekend food packs through Harvesters’ BackSnacks (elementary/middle school) and Coldwater’s No Hungry Kids Food Packs (early childhood) for students in the Lee’s Summit school district who may face food insecurity.  She has served on the Coldwater Executive Board since 2010.  Jan earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from William Jewell College.  She is a former elementary teacher and currently manages payroll for a local construction company.  For over 30 years, Jan and her husband have made Lee’s Summit their home. In her free time, she enjoys theater, reading and working out as well as spending time with her family including her three adult children and grandson.
